It used to take a whole truck- keys, gas, insurance, maintanence and all to get your gear to your remote site for that special event or Town Meeting. Technology has now made it possible to squeeze all the components into an over-sized briefcase. Such portability may mean more production capabilities and more of your volunteer producers
participating. Here's a look at what's being used today.

The HS-2000 Mobile Studio from Datavideo is a full HD hand-carry mobile studio designed to simplify the workflow of any HD production venue using up to (5) inputs by combining (1) or (2) DVI input computer sources and (3) or (4) HD-SDI sources. These PC DVI-D inputs allow CG graphics to be displayed from a laptop using the luma-key feature

This unit includes the SE-2000, a five-channel, 10-bit, 1080i or 720p HD-SDI, HD-component, and DVI-D video and audio switcher. The SE-2000 offers such advanced features as a 17" LED monitor displaying a multi-view image that includes each source, picture-in-picture preview, preview, and program. It also includes (14) pre-stored logos, digital clock display, (5) operator setup memories, title overlay, and DVI-D input that can be used with presentation software.

The built-in audio mixer with XLR connectors allow up to (4) channels of microphone or line-level audio inputs, or you can use an external audio mixer. The unit also includes a wired intercom with four belt packs, headsets, and tally lights.

No genlock is required. The SE-2000 enables seamless switching of video and audio, blending digital content on the fly. The SE-2000 also comes with a built-in luminance key. You may also use an external character generator.

The Sony AWS-G500E Anycast Station Live Content Producer is a portable live production switcher. This all-in-one unit comprises a high-quality video switcher, an audio mixer, a large LCD display, and a streaming encoder and server. When combined with your choice of optional interface module, it accepts a variety of inputs from PCs, cameras, VCRs and hard disk drives. It mixes audio and offers ME capabilities. This unit will easily integrate into a studio or location live production operation.

Fully Configurable: The Anycast Station now comes as a fully configurable system without standard interface modules, allowing end users to choose analog or digital, SD and/or HD simply by purchasing the applicable modular BKAW interface cards.

Audio Mixer: 6-channel input mixing utilizes 48kHz/24bit processing, real channel faders and a master fader, stereo speakers.

Access Buttons: Pressing an access button calls up the control menus of the associated input to the LCD screen. A variety of video and audio parameter settings can be accomplished.

Mixer Output Controls: Provides controls for all audio output functions including; audio monitor level, talkback on/off, audio dimmer on/off, speaker level and headphone output.

Online: Controls and triggers of streaming video and recording of compatible hard disk drives.

Camera Control: Through the menu, selection camera control is offered for compatible Sony Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras. Six memories are offered to store camera position and control settings.

Device Control: Cameras and hard disk drives can be controlled using the jog shuttle wheel and buttons.

Talkback Microphone: Along with the talkback microphone an intercom connector is provided for users with an intercom system.

Source Displays: Thumbnail video of each input source can be displayed; PGM and PVW are highlighted in red and amber.

Streaming Display: Displays the parameters and current server status of the streaming video input.

Switcher Display: Program and Preview are the main video displays along with thumbnails of the inputs, effect and DSK transition durations and the guide for cameras parameters.

Speakers: Built-in stereo speakers are offered for audio monitoring.

LCD Display: The built-in LCD is a high brightness, 15.4" 1280 x 800 foldable display.

The Newtek Tricaster Studio Live Production Studio is a live switcher, titler, media streamer, media capture device and media storage device all in one. This device comes in a very manageable housing with keyboard, mouse and some cables. It can be used to create a multiple camera shoot with roll in video, titles and special effects then stream it as live media through a network connection. Standard video outputs allow a live shoot to be recorded to tape, disk or presented to a large DLP, Projector or monitor. The Tricaster Studio is a step up from the Tricaster Pro offering more input and output options and more production tools.

Live Production: The Tricaster Studio offers standard component, composite and Y/C camera input connections along with mic and standard audio inputs to actualize a multi-camera live production. The output can be recorded, presented or streamed.

Live Internet Streaming: Internet or intranet streaming is accomplished using the same input as live productions and outputting through an Internet connection. The GUI offers an easy set up with an IP address for easy user access and viewing.

Professional Titling: An internal titler allows the user to create titles of many sizes, colors and styles; the titles can roll, crawl or utilize a special effect. Titles can be stored and recalled for user convenience.

Media Editing: Media can be captured and edited into a clip for roll in capability.

Camera Set Up: Each camera input has set up features such as Brightness, Contrast, Hue and Saturation for image enhancement and compatibility.

Audio Mixer: Each audio input has level and equalization controls.

Keying: The Tricaster has high quality keying features allowing for Chroma Keying and Luminance Keying with image adjustments.

Video Capture: Video clips can be captured and stored for recall and roll in during the live production.

VGA Projector Output: This high resolution output allows connection to a presentation projector or multisync monitor.

iVGA: One of the collaborative tools in TriCaster allows you to actually bring in desktop imagery from other computers across a local network. iVGA is a groundbreaking technology integrated for the first time into live switching.

All of the features of our full sized studio, packed into a rugged portable hard case used by the military!
